> HOWZAT? The Science of Cricket:

An exciting exhibition on the ins and outs of cricket, to coincide with the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003. The exhibition boasts a number of fun-filled activities for the whole family: A bowling machine and indoor net, exhibits on the biomechanics of batting, bowling and fielding, batsmen's wagon wheels and bowler's manhattans, run rate analysis, snickometer, Hansie's illegal remote listening device, photographic exhibitions, historical information, cricket memorabilia, videos and games, and much more.

> BLIND CRICKET

Have you ever wondered how the blind play cricket? Learn how to play blind cricket with the members of the Western Province Blind Cricket team.

Dates: 20 & 27 February, 1 & 9 March

> RE-ENACTMENT OF 18TH CENTURY CRICKET

Come and see how cricket has changed over the ages. A re-enactment of 18th Century Cricket will take place every Saturday.

> CRICKET BAT & CRICKET BALL MAKING DEMONSTRATIONS

'Live' demonstrations on the intricacies of making a cricket bat and cricket ball. Join
Batman Services and Hatrick Balls for these demonstrations. They will bowl you over - not to be missed.

The Western Province Cricket Association will be coaching cricket in the MTN ScienCentre's indoor cricket net on a regular basis to any interested visitor to the Science of Cricket Exhibition. Please contact the MTN ScienCentre for dates and times.
> TOUCHLINE PHOTO "BEST CRICK-PICS" COMPETITION

Are you a cricket fanatic as well as a happy snapper with the camera? Take part in our amateur photographers competition and show us your best world cup pictures both on and off the field. Open to all ages - but no professionals please. Entrance forms to be collected and entries to be handed-in at the MTN ScienCentre. A member of Touchline Photo, official photographers for the Cricket World Cup 2003, will be judging the competition. Loads of prizes to be won.

Final entrance date: 28 March.
Winners will be announced at: 12pm on 29 March.

> "MARK SHUTTLEWORTH'S ODYSSEY - A PERSONAL PHYSICIANS WINDOW SEAT VIEW"

This talk by Flight Surgeon, Professor Wayne Derman provides insight into the training demands and hurdles Cosmonaut Mark Shuttleworth had to overcome to become the First African in Space. The current Russian Space Programme and its unique attitude towards space tourism is discussed and many humorous anecdotes of the project and tales of Russian "space rituals" are related. Visuals and video footage by Peter Ribton. Booking is essential.

> DRUM THERAPY

Clinical Psychologist, Heleniq Argyrou will be giving talks on the benefits of drum therapy. The talk is geared towards parents and educators who are interested in helping children improve self-esteem and confidence, improve social skills and psychomotor co-ordination, increase concentration spans and focus attention , develop memory, and allow for self-expression and creativity.
