SAILI Comets Saturday Enrichment School

SAILI's mission is to promote improvement in mathematics and science education for disadvantaged learners to enable such learners to gain access to post secondary programmes requiring these subjects.

The SAILI Comets Saturday Enrichment School is a partnership between SAILI and the MTN Sciencentre designed for Grade 8 learners and is structured around the technological design and atmosphere of the science centre.  The aim is to instil an interest in science, technology and mathematics, as well as enthuse learners about the challenges and career opportunities in these fields. This heightened awareness also enables learners to apply the core content of mathematics and science in their school-based activities to ensure that they cope better with FET maths when they reach Grade 10.
